Dead sea Israel – Live The Low Life…

At some points during our lives, we all hit the proverbial rock bottom. But let us assure you – you’ll feel quite the opposite (that is – totally high) being physically located at the lowest point on earth.

The Dead Sea is just it – the lowest place on earth. At 423 meters (1,388 ft) below sea level, it is the deepest hyper-saline lake in the world. It is known for its therapeutic healing effects since ancient times. Just being there – soaking up the sun, sea, air and earth, you’ll feel a whole lot better. Take time to float your worries away, cover up in rich mineral mud that will do wonders to your skin, and simply sit back letting the tension melt away.

Once rejuvenated, we’ll ascend to Massada via the Snake Trail. Massada is a rugged natural fortress of majestic beauty, in the Judean Desert overlooking the Dead Sea. It is considered a symbol of the ancient kingdom of Israel. From there we will continue to the Qumran caves, a series of caves, some natural, some artificial, found around the archaeological site of Qumran. It is in a number of these caves that the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were found.
